This is the season of Olympics, and as we all are cheering for Dipa Karmakar(gymnastics),Sakshi Malik(wrestling) or PV Sindhu(badminton) among the trendy names this week on social media.
We are also feeling proud to be an Indian for their achievements(well off course we should be! ),
but there is another name from Bengal who's contribution may have dimmed down a bit due to this mega event at Rio De Janeiro.
On the other part of the world called West Indies or Carribean Islands, Indian Cricket team is competing with the host West Indian team.
Virat Kohli-led Indian team outnumbered the host in the ongoing test matches and positioned itself at the top of the ICC rating chart.
India is now ranked No. 1, the best test playing nation in the world.

Apart from Virat Kohli, who is the most talked about personality in cricket in recent times there is another boy, the Bengal’s wicket keeper – Wriddhiman Saha who certainly deserves attention, as he impressed every fan with his clean glovework as well as patient and steady hundreds with his bat in West Indies when his team was in utter trouble to a facile victory.

Many thought, MS Dhoni couldn't be replaced as a wicketkeeper as soon when he retire and performing at his consistency with gloves is an uphill task for someone who replaces him.
The young Bengali Wicket keeper's performance behind the stump this season is the perfect reply to the critics. It also gives us the hope of another Bengal star at world arena after Sourav, the former skipper of India.
As I have followed the series till date, I can see him as a perfect allrounder who can win matches in the future of Indian cricket, as he also has the class to bat at the middle order alike Dhoni in the test.
It took a lot of time to find a deserving place replacing the former Test captain.
Wriddhiman is highly praised by former West Indies opener, Philo Wallace. He also adds on to say that he feels right now the Indian wicket keeper is the best in the world to an Indian media agency.
